Bring the GCCF Roadshow to Your Show

Host the GCCF Roadshow at Your Cat Show

A new way to engage visitors, support exhibitors, and promote the cat fancy – at no cost to your club.

Make Your Show Day Even Better

The GCCF Roadshow is looking for GCCF clubs to host a Roadshow event alongside their shows in 2026. We’ve already seen huge interest from exhibitors, visitors and the wider cat fancy, and we’re keen to build on that momentum by attending as many shows as possible.

Whether you run a small local event or a large back-to-back show, the Roadshow can add interest and value without disrupting your day or increasing your workload.

Want the Roadshow at Your Event?

Contact GCCF and invite them to be part of your show.

What Is the GCCF Roadshow?

The Roadshow is a live feature that runs alongside the cat show. It includes a series of short, engaging presentations and live demonstrations throughout the day, covering:

How GCCF cat shows work
What judges are looking for
How to get started in showing, stewarding or judging
The role of HHP judges
How to handle and present cats
Plus talks from BAC representatives, breeders, and exhibitors

Each session features live examples of different breeds, presented to the audience while judges and speakers explain what makes them special.

The sessions are friendly, open to all, and highly interactive — people are encouraged to ask questions, meet the speakers, and even get involved.

What About the Cats?

Each Roadshow session includes live demonstrations — and yes, that means cats the audience can meet and learn about.

We do our best to provide cats separate from those in competition, and we usually find volunteers from within the cat fancy to help. These are often:

Judges, breeders or exhibitors who are not showing on the day
Local cat fancy members willing to bring cats in for the day
Friends of the Roadshow who understand how it all works
Judges, breeders or exhibitors who are already at the show and we ask them to bring an extra cat from home

On rare occasions, we may ask permission to feature a cat that’s entered in the show, usually because it’s a particularly good example of its breed or has educational value for the audience.

This is not something we aim to do routinely, as our goal is always to avoid interfering with the show. But if the opportunity arises, we’ll always seek full permission in advance from both the exhibitor and the show manager.

Why Host the Roadshow?

For your club:

No cost to you – GCCF covers penning and speaker expenses
No disruption – we arrange our own cats and don’t rely on your booked judges
No extra work – we handle all planning, scheduling and logistics

For your exhibitors:

Offers value-added content during the day
Creates learning and mentoring opportunities
Encourages progression into stewarding or judging

For your visitors:

A chance to meet the cats up close
Hear directly from judges, breeders, and experts
Learn about GCCF, cat shows, and how to get involved
Increases their connection with the show and likelihood of returning

What We Need from You

Not much!

All we ask is:

A ring space (typically around 10 pens which we will pay for)
A named contact to liaise with
Your blessing to advertise the Roadshow element of your event

We’ll provide:

We will organise all speakers and cats
The mobile PA system and materials
A dedicated team to manage the roadshow throughout the day

We’ll also liaise with show management throughout to ensure everything runs around your schedule, not against it.

Let’s Get You Booked In

We’re aiming to visit one show per month in 2026, and several clubs have already expressed interest. If you’d like your show to be one of them, we’d love to hear from you.
